Radical Life Extension, Inspiration, Education and Connection.

The Winter Super Longevity Week was loaded with energy, insight, information and fun.

The Winter Super Longevity Week at People Unlimited, December 25th-31st, 2017, began with a sparkling celebration of aliveness on Christmas evening, kicked off in high energy by the band ‘Living Proof’. James Strole and Bernadeane took to the stage to set the tone for a week of fantastic togetherness, jumping right into the radical inspiration it takes to create super longevity and the ultimate freedom from death.

Throughout the week, James Strole and Bernadeane spoke on taking our freedom from sentimentality, family and relationship ties and getting in touch with the individuality of movement and purpose that is forever. Other topics explored were moving energy, being creative and the importance of making strategic plans for building a future of unlimited money, health and longevity.

The Winter Super Longevity Week featured several shining stars from the field of radical life extension. Guest speakers included Dr. Kristin Comella of US Stem Cell, Dr. Jose Cordeiro of Singularity University, Bill Faloon of Life Extension and the co-author and physicianDr. TerryGrossman, all experts in their fields and members of the Coalition for Radical Life Extension and presenters at RAADfest in 2016, and upcoming in 2017.

Dr. Comella gave a very exciting presentation on regenerative medicine with adipose stem cells, bringing the age of pharmaceuticals to a close, and revolutionizing medicine with personalized treatment utilizing the individual’s own stem cells. Dr. Cordeiro was his usual radically energetic self, talking about the revolution that will kill aging and death. An expert on AI, he always brings his unique perspective on the future, for example 3D printing of body parts, enhancing our brains with an exocortex and designing our future children. Bill Faloon from Life Extension Foundation was an enormous resource of knowledge of different technologies for human age reversal, and he touched on many subjects with energy and clarity. His tireless dedication to end human suffering from aging is truly inspirational. Dr. Terry Grossman gave a detailed presentation on the best diets for radical life extension based on medical studies. Various diets were discussed with their pros and cons and information on how to choose the best way to eat to increase longevity.

Each day also brought a variety of entertainment, with beautiful performances of dance, song, poetry, and different styles of music for our enjoyment from jazz piano, acoustic guitar and drums, to an exciting futuristic performance of electronica by West of Berlin. The People Unlimited children, not to be left out of the fun, also designed their own presentation, that brought their unique take on living forever in our midst, that made us all smile.

There is a special magic that builds at People Unlimited during a week of focused togetherness, each day bringing more energy and inspiration. The event wrapped up in style on New Year’s Eve with a fabulous and luxurious party, the ultimate exclamation point to a whole week of celebration, not just because of the holiday or the promise of a new year, but because of each other and the new possibilities and excitement every day of creating a life free from death.

Amniotic stem cell therapy and radical life extension.

People Unlimited discusses the effects of amniotic stem cell therapy for longevity.

Amniotic stem cell therapy, its relevance and use in radical life extension, was the subject by Dr. Steve Hruby for Ageless Education on Friday December 9th, hosted by People Unlimited. Stem cell therapy is a cutting edge modality that is currently available to the public, in medical settings for treatment of various medical conditions, as well as for regenerative therapy.

Dr. Hruby began his presentation with a discussion of the basic levels of health care:

  1. Reactive care – mostly medical/surgical, could be natural, largely disempowering.
  2. Proactive care – largely non-medical, foundational, empowering mindset, natural/supplements/lifestyle etc.

Both of these fall within the realm of genetic limitation. He went on to describe another level that he called:

  1. Self-active care – regenerative therapies such as stem cell therapy, which build health beyond the limits of inherited genetics. This is the area that people involved in radical life extension need to be active in to radically increase their opportunities to stay alive.

Different types of stem cells were discussed: amniotic, adipose and embryonic. Although all types are utilized, the most common sources are adipose and amniotic, as embryonic stem cells have been the most controversial. Thousands of research articles published on stem cell therapy show 90-97% effectiveness to treat not only degenerative conditions, autoimmune diseases and cosmetic conditions but also for anti-aging effects and life extension. Although there are pros and cons for choosing amniotic versus adipose stem cells, which were all discussed, Dr. Hruby prefers amniotic stem cell therapy, which he considers easier, less invasive for the patient, less time-consuming and therefore less expensive.

Brain optimization and radical life extension.

Two medications to prevent or reverse age-related cognitive decline discussed at People Unlimited.

What is your thought on brain health and radical life extension, is it related and is it important for your own longevity? Ageless Education continued on Friday, December 2nd, with John A. Robinson NMD, returning to People Unlimited to discuss how to take our brains to the next level of peak performance.

Dr. Robinson suggests a holistic approach of comprehensive health/wellness care, with a focus on pushing the limits wherever possible with non-toxic cognitive enhancers or nootropics. For those interested in radical life extension, in which we are actively engaged at People Unlimited, we need to stimulate and optimize brain health and eliminate cognitive decline related to age, especially the executive functions such as memory, creativity and motivation. Since the brain is the ultimate regulator of hormones and the immune system, the brain can affect every cell in the body; therefore a youthful brain may be the key to a youthful body.

Dr. Robinson discussed two enhancers in particular that he considers to be radical life extenders – Deprenyl and Hydergine.

Deprenyl is a prescription medication that prevents dopamine breakdown and protects neurons. Dopamine is a hormone that makes us feel motivated and is important for cognition, memory, focus and pleasure. Levels of dopamine decline every decade over 40, leading to Parkinson-like symptoms and general decline. The longer we can keep dopamine levels optimized, the longer we can live, and Deprenyl can help sensitize the receptors of Nrf2, activation of which reverses oxidative stress. For life extension purposes, Deprenyl is given in very low dosage.

Hydergine is one of the most researched of all the cognitive enhancers and there is a lot of information that it lays down new brain cells and affects the brain’s energy utilization systems. It is FDA-approved in the treatment of senile dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and cerebrovascular disorders, but for life extension purposes it is used to prevent or reverse age-related cognitive decline such as memory, focus, recall and concentration.

Dr. Robinson suggested to People Unlimited members that the synergy of both Deprenyl and Hydergine when used together seems to work the best for brain optimization and life extension enhancement in his experience. He reiterated that both are used in low doses, are extremely non-toxic and present very minimal side-effects.

Moving the lymphatic system to support longevity.

People Unlimited’s Ageless Education series provides tips for maintaining healthy lymphatics for the long term.

Ageless Education at People Unlimited continued with a presentation on activating our lymph systems for unlimited health, by Christi Christiaens, Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, on Monday November 28th. The system of lymph vessels and nodes has been under-studied and only recently in 2015 was it discovered that we also have lymph vessels in the brain. It is vital to stimulate a healthy flow of this system, because it is a major part of the body’s immune system and all the body’s waste passes through the lymph vessels to be processed out of the body. If flow becomes clogged, then interstitial fluid and toxins can build up around the cells, hampering their proper function.

Since the lymphatic system does not have a pump like the heart, physical activity is needed to stimulate flow. HIIT, high intensity interval training, is excellent, as well as jumping on a mini-trampoline, also holding stretches combined with deep breathing. Christi reminded all People Unlimited members about the importance of clean diet, eating anti-inflammatory superfoods, also green and red foods, organic wherever possible, and staying away from sugar. Avoiding toxins as much as possible in cleaning products and personal care products is very important, and especially for women’s breast health, using antiperspirants and deodorants without aluminum. She also suggested that women and men should massage their breast area regularly to stimulate lymph flow and women should avoid tight bras. Other tips offered were dry skin brushing, getting enough sleep, sleeping on our side, and sipping water throughout the day.

Taking charge of our radical life extension on a daily basis means adopting new and better strategies moving forward. People Unlimited’s Ageless Education series provides an abundance of important information that people interested in healthy super longevity and radical life extension can use to develop these strategies.

The biology of changing habits for a deathless life.

People Unlimited discusses how breaking out of limiting patterns can help support your super longevity.

The biology of changing habits was the latest topic of discussion in People Unlimited’s Ageless Education series on Monday, November 14th, 2016. The ability to change habits and patterns is vital for staying alive and an essential aspect of daily living for radical life extension enthusiasts with a healthy future in mind.

genius coaching people unlimited biology
genius coaching people unlimited biology

Otto Siegel, of Genius Coaching LLC, opened with the important premise that we must approach behavioral change from an action viewpoint. It is not enough to have the information; we must replace old habits with new actions. Habits begin with imprinting and are the basis of survival. An infant learns to survive and feel safe unconsciously in the first years of life, imprinted first by the mother and his/her family, expanding his/her sense of belonging as he/she grows, leading to strong habits reinforced by learned rituals.

This is backed up by the biology. The brain functions as a triune brain:

  1. The executive state, the prefrontal lobes - thinking/analyzing (what can I learn from this?)
  2. The emotional state - the limbic system (am I loved?)
  3. The survival state - the brain stem (am I safe?)
genius coaching people unlimited biology
genius coaching people unlimited biology

Because imprinting affects the brain stem, thinking and talking alone are not enough to bring about change; the whole brain and body need to be involved. We must engage holistic thinking and feeling, combined with information and action, and repeat the upgraded behavior multiple times in order to be successful. Otto also advocated a different form of imprinting that is invaluable - being reinforced in our changes by like-minded people who share our passion for life. People Unlimited members have discovered the value of a passionate support system to encourage new actions.

It’s good to remember that aging and dying are very bad habits in themselves. We are constantly surrounded by death rituals in our daily lives; every culture has them. For people interested in extending their lifespans indefinitely, a new focus is needed to replace these habits and rituals with new ways of thinking and living. We at People Unlimited find that being with others involved in ending aging and death is great reinforcement and inspiration for changing patterns.

The connection of sleep, hormones and longevity.

The powerful effect of sleep on radical life extension was the topic of People Unlimited’s next session in our Ageless Education series.

Do you know your sleep is connected to your hormones, and your desired super longevity? Well they are, and this was proved, at People Unlimited on Monday, October 31st 2016. Dr. Kirk Parsley, a world-renowned sleep specialist known for his work with Navy Seals, and for optimizing health through improving sleep patterns, shared his wealth of knowledge on the subject at People Unlimited.

dr parsley people unlimited longevity
dr parsley people unlimited longevity

Dr. Parsley emphasized that sleep is themost important thing we can do for our healthand longevity. All hormone production is affected if we are deprived of even one night of sleep. Growth hormone, thyroid hormones, insulin, the anabolic hormones that help us live longer, and 99% of all sex hormones are made in the first 4 hours of deep sleep. Quality sleep is essential for all cellular repair since our entire immune system is working at its highest and best during sleep. The prefrontal cortex, which Dr. Parsley calls “the simulator”, is the first region to shut down after a loss of even 2 hours sleep, affecting our ability to make good choices and decisions. In short, our entire overall health and function, sex drive, everything that makes us better, faster and stronger, depends on hormones, and hormones depend on sleep.

dr parsley people unlimited longevity

Dr. Parsley advocates seven and a half hours of sleep a night, plus or minus 30 minutes.He says that most of what is considered aging is due to loss of hormones, and the best cure is sleep. He suggests getting hormones tested regardless of age to find out which ones are deficient, and focus on sleep and lifestyle changes to restore production. This is a better long-term plan for healthy longevity than just supplementation which doesn’t stimulate the body’s own hormone production.

During the Q&A, Dr. Parsley was very enthusiastic about naps and said there is a great deal of research on the subject. According to Parsley, naps should be kept to less than 120 minutes, and 3 hours from bedtime.

Human DNA and why biological immortality is possible.

People Unlimited hosts a discussion on human DNA and how it relates to biological immortality.

Human DNA and biological immortality was the next topic in People Unlimited’s Ageless PE series. DNA is the subject of a great deal of research from the standpoint of human age reversal, including gene editing, telomere lengthening, genetic engineering etc. For anyone interested in radical life extension it is important to have some understanding of DNA, because the numbers alone get us in touch with the miracle of our human body.

Otto Siegel People Unlimited DNA
Otto Siegel People Unlimited DNA

Otto Siegel, of Genius Coaching, led the presentation. He shared how each of our 100 trillion cells contains DNA, which is not even visible under a microscope. Cells are dividing in an embryo 300 times per hour. When adult cells are not dividing, they are producing structure proteins that build every living cell and enzyme proteins that accelerate 260 million biochemical reactions in each cell per minute.

However, Otto pointed out that only 2 - 3% of human DNA translates information into protein. The other 97% is non-coding DNA, “junk DNA”. “Junk” DNA is really a misnomer, because it has many purposes, such as protecting the genome by keeping the genes separate from each other, genetic switches and regulators, telomeres, etc., but 20% of this DNA is “passive DNA” and still an evolutionary unknown to science.

img_0751
img_0751

Some speculate that our potential to live forever may already be written in the 20% of “passive DNA”. We do know that if the environment changes drastically, humans are genetically prepared to manifest unknown capabilities to adapt.

This is where it gets interesting from the point of view of radical life extension. It is known that our thoughts and words affect our DNA, and research in epigenetics illustrates the impact of environment and lifestyle on how our genome is expressed in each individual.

People Unlimited members are constantly activating each other to new ways of living by the strong input and expression that we give one another. Our strategy is clear; we are biologically creative when we come together to tap into unknown territory. We feel that by removing the de-energizers and the toxic human environment, we give our DNA optimum conditions to more fully express the true potential of our human bodies.

How to energize your career for an endless life.

People Unlimited’s Ageless P.E. education series continued with work advice for people planning to live forever.

Most people identify themselves as their roles in life and play out their lives within the confines of who they were brought up to be. Usually their value is based on what they do and they interact in predefined social and cultural settings. In short, get an education, have a career, get married, have a family, retire and then die.

However, for people who question the status quo and desire to break out of the box, such as People Unlimited members and the radical life extension community, we have the power to rediscover ourselves. We can choose dynamic careers/professions that best support us in an unlimited environment. We can go directly for what we want and strategize based on what works best for us.

Ageless PE continued at People Unlimited, with an inspiring presentation on how to work in a way that is complementary for the body and an unlimited life, by Susanna Lange, a People Unlimited member who works for a large corporation earning a 6-figure income.

Susanna had everyone assess two lifestyles - the person we were brought up to be and the unlimited person we have discovered ourselves to be. She reminded us that we usually feel de-energized when we are operating from the first paradigm, but when we switch to unlimited it plays directly into the biology of the body which is super dynamic. By being the unlimited body you are, you can achieve anything in your career and life.

Susanna also emphasized the importance of not being enslaved to our “to do” lists. She said that top performers in every level of business take breaks every 90 minutes. Taking breaks could be as simple as just changing activity, taking a walk, leaving the computer, going for a lunch-time workout, or taking a nap.

She also spoke of the importance of thanking ourselves and our team. Often overlooked and simple, gratitude opens up the flow of the body unlimited, building both the recipient and the giver and energizing the work environment.

We at People Unlimited have long recognized that the way most people have been taught to work is very death-oriented, with no feeling for the human bodies that are producing. Since we spend a great deal of our time in our businesses and careers, Susanna’s presentation was very helpful, inspiring and well received.

People Unlimited explores cardio for longevity.

The Ageless P.E. longevity education series continued with a discussion on the benefits of cardiopulmonary exercise for long-tern health.

People Unlimited directors James Strole and Bernadeane hosted a welcome conversation on cardio training for long-term health on Monday October 17th 2016, presented by Dimitri Larno, personal trainer and flexibility and strength coach.

dsc_4010
dsc_4010

Dimitri’s presentation was on training the cardiopulmonary system and how to stimulate this system correctly to benefit a person planning on sticking around. He clearly defined the cardiopulmonary system as including both the respiratory/pulmonary system, that draws oxygen into the body and removes the carbon dioxide, as well as the cardiovascular system, the heart and blood vessels, which are the delivery system of the oxygen to the cells.

people unlimited longevity cardio
people unlimited longevity cardio

Moving muscles creates a demand for oxygen, so using our muscular system is the way we stimulate our cardio-pulmonary system, thereby strengthening and improving the efficiency of the heart, lungs and blood vessel. This in turn provides many positive side-effects for the body overall, such as stress relief, increased bone density, more energy etc.

people unlimited longevity cardio

Dimitri went on to discuss that although any exercise that elevates the heart rate can be healthy, you must differentiate between putting miles on your body and stimulating your system. Many people get confused over what kind of cardio training to do, low or high intensity, short or long distance, even effort or intervals. There are benefits and challenges involved with each one. This is a choice for every person to make for their own unlimited bodies.

The subject of how best to work out always stimulates a high energy Q&A discussion and this topic was no exception. People Unlimited is an educational, lifestyle and social organization for people interested in radical life extension and physical immortality.

8 functional moves for eternity discussed at People Unlimited.

People Unlimited’s Ageless PE series continued with advice on keeping your mobility forever.

People Unlimited welcomed an exciting and energizing presentation by Ilana Lea, founder and owner of the happiest gym in the world, Enerjoy Fitness, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The discussion focused on how practicing certain functional movements can keep you moving into the future instead of being held back by aging and degeneration.

Her 8 functional moves towards eternity are:

  1. Walk
  2. Balance on one leg
  3. Arm circles
  4. Touch your toes
  5. Get off the chair
  6. Step up
  7. Get off the floor
  8. The stick

Ilana briefly explained the reasons for these moves and how to do them:

People Unlimited Exercise
People Unlimited Exercise
  1. Walk - whether outside, or on a treadmill, fast, slow, whatever you can do, “just do it”. This keeps you moving, active and healthy.
  1. Balancing on one leg is important for everyone, no matter your age. You should be able to balance on one leg for 30 seconds at a time. If you need more of a challenge, close your eyes and balance for 30 seconds. Beyond this, you can also complete one-legged exercises, such as one-legged deadlift or one-legged box squat.
  1. Arm circles forward and backward help to increase range of motion, muscle strength and keeps the joints lubricated.
  1. Touching your toes, or completing a 5 step stretch sequence at least once a day, can really improve your flexibility, and help to prevent injuries. The 5 step sequence is as follows: 10 seconds each, seated forward fold, seated head to knee on both sides, seated butterfly and seated straddle. Of course, each stretch is to be done to your own level of flexibility, listen to your body.
People Unlimited Exercise
People Unlimited Exercise
  1. Getting up off a chair can be difficult for some. To ensure we don’t get to that point take breaks from working or sitting throughout the day. Try to do 5 get ups and downs from your seat, make sure you’re using your heels and that your knees aren’t turning in. If you need a challenge, get up and down with one leg.
  1. Step ups are a basic move, but again, if we don’t use it, we loose it. Whether you use real stairs, a bench or a box at the gym, step up with one leg at a time and see how many you can do. Keep working at it to help grow your muscles and keep your joints moving.
People Unlimited Exercise
People Unlimited Exercise
  1. Getting up off the floor is another very basic move. Lie down on the floor and get up, try not to use your hands and repeat.
  1. The Stick” is a tool that you can use to roll out the knots in your muscles. It can be used in place of a foam roller if need be. Ilana says that “most people don’t foam roll because it hurts so much”, so maybe try something new.

Ilana is a longtime People Unlimited member who was more than happy to share her expertise and knowledge. The crowd was excited to participate and have taken home some good tips on making move towards their eternity.

Deep breathing and how it relates to unlimited life.

People Unlimited’s discussed how deep breathing has an impact on metabolism and digestion and how it relates to unlimited life.

Christi Christiaens, Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, was hosted by People Unlimited in the Ageless PE series to speak on Breathing For Unlimited Life. The focus of her presentation was the profound impact of breathing on metabolism and digestion.

Christi discussed that since we breathe 26,000 times a day, correct breathing is essential to our health. She highlighted the difference between shallow breathing and deep breathing into the belly. Shallow breathing through the mouth into the upper lungs, which is the way we breathe when we are under stress and in survival, signals the body to store fat and crave sugar, causing insulin resistance. Deep breathing through the nose into the belly is a more abundant breathing style which encourages the body to relax and burn fat, leading to efficient metabolism.

Christi pointed out the importance of correct breathing when exercising, so the body will not perceive the exercise as stress, such as when we have to run away from danger. This triggers stress hormones from the adrenals, which are a healthy response to short-term danger but are damaging to the body as a long-term response to stress. Understanding the importance of healthful workouts to People Unlimited members who are interested in radical longevity, she instructed us to breathe through the nose during exercise, which drives more oxygen into the blood through the turbinates, and to slow down when unable to do so until we are able to resume nose breathing. The capacity to breathe through the nose will increase over time, building strength and endurance.

Christi then discussed how breathing directly affects the digestion because the stomach and liver sit under the diaphragm. The diaphragm is a muscle and without deep breathing to move it up and down it becomes stiff and lays down sticky fibrous tissue, causing the stomach and liver to become stuck to it. For optimal digestion the stomach and liver must be free, and Christi gave some examples of diaphragmatic breathing exercises that make a difference that we could practice daily. She also recommended a simple but efficient technique to learn that can detach the stomach and liver from the diaphragm gently and safely.

During the Q&A which followed, Christi advocated any exercises that encourage deep breathing and relaxation, such as yoga, as helpful to People Unlimited members looking to expand activities for their health and wellbeing. Christi’s presentation was simple and practical in nature, and the beauty of it was that it reminded us all that the simplest things in life can be the most powerful. Breathing is life itself and certainly should not be taken for granted.

Human Growth Hormone and Super Longevity discussed at People Unlimited.

James Strole and Bernadeane at People Unlimited, continue ageless PE by welcoming a discussion on HGH and super longevity.

Dr. Steve Hruby, DC, of Kai-Zen Wellness in Scottsdale, Arizona spoke about Sermorelin Acetate, a genetically engineered bioidentical hormone which promotes production of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). This was part of People Unlimited’s continuing Ageless PE series, held on the evening of September 26th.

People Unlimited longevity
People Unlimited longevity

Dr. Hruby discussed how critical a good foundation of health is to super-longevity,emphasizing that 90-95% of our lifestyle choices should be foundational choices in the areas of exercise, diet, supplementation, sleep, stress management and environment. He reminded us that anti-aging is not natural. Nature defaults to decay and degeneration over time, so smart lifestyle choices are necessary to tip the balance and optimize our current epigenetic expression of health. Dr. Hruby sees the other 5-10% as using the latest and greatest enhancements and technologies to prevent and reverse degeneration.

There followed a discussion about Human Growth Hormone and some of its main effects in the body:

  • Build-up and maintenance of structural tissue through the production of collagen, found in connective tissue, skin, bone, muscle and internal organs. The visual aging process shows a decrease in collagen.
  • Maintains a strong heart (muscle)
  • Metabolism of fat and energy production
  • Improves function of all the other hormones, especially insulin.
IGF-1 Longevity People Unlimited
IGF-1 Longevity People Unlimited

HGH level is simple to measure with an inexpensive blood test, the IGF-1, and Dr. Hruby stated that the use of growth hormone has been found to be extremely safe, promoting improvement in all the above areas. A combination of studies (meta-study) shows that there are 88% positive beneficial benefits and no adverse effects, all good news to us at People Unlimited who are moving to build extreme health and reverse any aging or deterioration that we may experience. Typically, HGH levels usually deplete by 50% after age 70.

Dr. Hruby went on to discuss some ways to naturally boost the IGF-1 such as the use of vitamin D, melatonin, GABA, Glutamine, L-Arginine and L-Lysine. However, he favored Sermorelin over HGH Replacement, since replacement doesn’t stimulate the body’s own production of the hormone. Sermorelin stimulates regrowth and regeneration of the pituitary gland to secrete more growth hormone. An added benefit is that it also promotes slow wave sleep (deep sleep). Sermorelin injections can be prescribed by a doctor or it can be taken sublingually.

James Strole Bernandeane People Unlimited

A member of People Unlimited, Dr. Hruby is a valuable resource to the community at large, but especially to all of us at People Unlimited in our ongoing mission to seek out, use and promote all beneficial age reversal technologies in the modern world.

People Unlimited explores thyroid health's link to life extension.

James Strole and Bernadeane hosted Dr. John Robinson, who shared insights on hormone balance and thyroid health.

James Strole Bernandeane People Unlimited

People Unlimited’s directors James Strole and Bernadeane invited Dr. John A Robinson, to share his insights on hormone balance and thyroid health, at our September Ageless PE session. Dr. Robinson, a Naturopath in Scottsdale AZ, described how all hormones function together in a dance, each affecting and being affected by the others, balance being key. Dr. Robinson chose the thyroid as his topic for this presentation because he sees it as the ‘sovereign’ gland, secreting hormones that affect the metabolic rate of every cell in the body. Low metabolism needs to be changed inside the cells, and he has named this area of focus the ‘Thyro-zone’. Dr. Robinson sees metabolism as the ‘Longevity Factor’ and very important to get right.

Dr. Robinson’s experience with many patients who came to him still not feeling well after being routinely tested and treated by medical doctors has led him to a different approach for thyroid imbalance. Interestingly, his treatment is not new, and actually used to be the standard of care for medical doctors from the 1940s – 1980s. However, modern blood testing now uses the TSH to measure thyroid function, which Dr. Robinson feels isinsufficient. In his clinic they measure thyroid function with two different tests; the Thyroflex which measures how quickly the metabolism moves, and the BMR, basal metabolic rate. He also was very emphatic that there are two main problems with the standard thyroid treatment: 1) the wrong type of medication and 2) not enough of it. Dr. Robinson prefers Nature-Throid or Armour Thyroid to Synthroid or Levothyroxine, and he has found that people feel much better on largerdoses than most doctors currently prescribe. For more information go to www.hormone-zone.com.

Dr. Robinson was a spirited, energetic presenter who is very passionate about his work, with an emphasis on service to people. He encouraged us all to make our goals compelling, acknowledging that radical life extension is an extremely exciting goal, which requires high dedication to make it happen.

Ageless PE Launched at People Unlimited with RAAD Fest Summary.

New series to keep members abreast of strategies for age reversal, longevity and everyday health.

Having embraced our true nature as activists, and basking in our success of hosting nearly 1,000 people in San Diego, California at the first ever RAAD Fest, we at People Unlimited celebrated our first post-RAAD Fest weekend event in style. One of the highlights was the launch of our new physical education series, Ageless PE. Its purpose: to stay abreast of cutting edge age reversal technologies, as well as new products and strategies that can be implemented now to stay proactive in our own health and longevity every day. People Unlimited has discovered that combining inspiration with information is a potent recipe for aliveness. Stay tuned for more Ageless PE updates.

Ageless PE was kicked off with a summary/overview of scientific and medical information presented at the first RAAD Fest. Delivered by our very own Otto Siegel, activist, biologist, educator, and owner of Genius Coaching. Otto’s irrepressible joy and passion for his subject, as well as insights from his own vast knowledge, made for an entertaining and informative presentation. It was for most of us our first opportunity since RAAD to review some of the vast amount of information we heard and to be reminded of the many passionate individuals involved in this exciting and ground-breaking research.

Otto highlighted the huge diversity of work being done. Age reversal and life extension are being approached from multi-faceted viewpoints, all of which appear to show their own promise and have their own value of application in the big picture. This only serves to underline the need for the Coalition for Radical Life Extension to bring together as many people as possible, to make available all the new information, thus supporting and accelerating the exponential growth of this enormously vital field of human endeavor.

Following is a brief summary of Otto’s presentation. For more information on RAAD Fest, visit www.raadfest.com.

Bill Faloon People Unlimited

Bill Faloon, Life Extension Foundation, co-sponsor of RAAD Fest, Steering Committee Member of the Coalition for Radical Life Extension. LEF is the world’s largest anti-aging organization since 1980, with more than 190 pioneering achievements.

The New Paradigm - Human Age Reversal, a Medical Renaissance. Based on the premise that biological aging is the root cause of multiple diseases, focus on age reversal instead of curing individual diseases makes sense, even makes good business sense, higher life expectancy impacts productivity.

All major medical breakthroughs were seen as man playing god in their time; anesthesia, defibrillation, in vitro fertilization, organ transplants, and now human age reversal.

Snail’s pace of implementation from discovery; e.g. Penicillin discovery published in 1929, in 1942 enough penicillin to treat 10 people, in 1944 2.3 million doses, in 1946 widespread availability to civilians. It took World War II to create sense of urgency to move research forward. We need age reversal/prevention NOW.

aubrey de grey people unlimited

Dr. Aubrey de Grey, SENS Research Foundation. Coalition Steering Committee Member. He heads up several teams of researchers working on different areas.

Emphasized importance of clear communication on the subject-longevity is a side-effect of health. Be an activist, be informed. Address each category, be specific, clear and understandable. Learn the best answers, e.g. to the challenge that curing aging will spend our natural resources, answer: renewable energy, not space emigration!

Dr. Ronald Klatz, A4M Founded the first, oldest and largest global anti-aging medical association, established in 1991.

Highlighted some current drugs targeting molecular aging. $30.2 billion spent out-of-pocket on complementary health approaches, $15.1 billion on HGH alone.

Dr. Greg Fahy, Twenty-First Century Medicine

Preventing immunosenescence. Thymus gland diminishes from youth. Young blood transfusion does not help the problem. Greg is “patient zero” in TRIIM trial on a healthy male showing thymic regeneration with special HGH therapy, with no bad side-effects and also may have many age reversal benefits. This is possible now, and they are currently looking for volunteers for clinical trials.

Dr. Bill Andrews, Sierra Sciences (telomere shortening related to 24+ aging diseases, telomerase) and Liz Parrish, BioViva, (gene editing). Coalition Steering Committee Members.

Gene therapy & telomere lengthening. Co-venture, building a clinic in Fiji to offer gene boosting therapy applied like immunization for disease/aging prevention. Liz is “patient zero.”

Dr. Terry Grossman. Co-wrote Fantastic Voyage with Ray Kurzweil.

Early cancer detection using ENOX-2 testing, can detect cancer at microscopic size before it can be seen, crucial for cure. Compared detection/survival rates (ENOX-2 98% detection, 100% 5-year survival rate.) Testing available now.

Dr. Kristin Comella.

Stem cell therapy to combat inflammation, boost immunity and healthy life extension, already being used in her clinic. Currently treating chronic illness after catastrophic events with patients’ own stem cells from adipose tissue. Inflammation and aging closely connected, stem cells are multi-potent, trained agents already. Offers stem cell banking.

Dr. Brant Cortright.

Accelerating neurogenesis, can increase regeneration of new brain cells with lifestyle changes to reverse cognitive decline. Alzheimer’s is result of neurotoxic lifestyle, very preventable. Use of Omega-3, DHA. Eliminate sugar, caffeine, alcohol. Good sleep, aerobic exercise, sex and nature.

Artificial intelligence, the Singularity. Ray Kurzweil, Dr. Ben Goertzel, Dr. Jose Cordeiro.

Technological convergence with the human body, e.g. nanotechnology, chips, stem cells, computer simulations, personalized specific medicine/supplementation.

Information grows exponentially. Jose spoke about the difference between taking 30 linear steps (30 feet) and 30 exponential steps (26 times around the globe)! Exponential growth will require AI to handle all the data. Add exo-cortex to triune brain – i.e. super-intelligence.

Human connection and collaboration. Jim Strole and BernaDeane, People Unlimited.

Life beyond limits, death-free thinking. Radical life extension requires supportive and

inspiring environment. Planning for the future. Social, educational and lifestyle changes.

Join us next month at the People Unlimited weekend event for the next presentation in the Ageless PE series… and so much more!

RAAD FEST

RAAD FEST

The first ever RAAD Fest, which stands for the Revolution Against Aging and Death, was supported by over 60 volunteers from People Unlimited, in roles such as registrations, social media, green room organization, stage help, information desk, shirt sales, exhibitor booths and much more. Many participants noted that these volunteers, and the staff as a whole, performed with the utmost professionalism and personal care.

This team of dedicated people also spent time prior to the event, in some cases working for months, to prepare for RAAD Fest, making sure that everything was set and ready to go on game day. RAAD Fest would not have been such a success without them.

RAAD Fest attracted approximately 900 participants from 35 countries around the world, all interested in radical life extension, and joining together to learn about and promote this great cause. The largest such gathering ever, RAAD Fest provided a holistic approach that included topics ranging from slowing aging, regenerative medicines, and artificial intelligence, to ageless sexuality and the psychology of immortality.

The biology of deep listening is discussed at People Unlimited.

Life coach Otto Siegel shared his insights about the challenges of deep listening and how to address them to enhance learning.

People Unlimited had the pleasure of hosting Otto Siegel this July weekend event, on Sunday July 17th 2016.

Siegel’s presentation outlined the reasons why we might not listen properly and ways to improve this skill. He emphasized that without strengthening this skill we may not fully understand and absorb the valuable information that a person is attempting to give us, in an informative or educational manner. He also discussed the need to understand the difference between the content and context of what is being spoken, as both convey meaning. Otto suggested that listening is just as important a skill as talking, or maybe even more important. He noted that the deepest human need is to be heard and that listening fully builds trust between people.

Otto is the founder and CEO of Genius Coaching LLC, which has been in operation since 2002 in Arizona. He’s originally from Germany, where he started Paedagogische Praxis for bright children with learning difficulties and founded the Institute of Biology of Learning in both Germany and Scottsdale in 1994. Otto has a diverse educational background from education, biology and chemistry to being a certified human behavior specialist and analyst. He is an expert in the field of executive leadership coaching, family coaching and leadership training for teachers among several other areas.

Otto’s inspiration for Genius Coaching LLC and its continued success comes from his interaction and involvements with People Unlimited and their members. Otto himself is a proud member of People Unlimited and has been for over 20 years. He is excited to contribute to creating a world free of death and limitations.

New book on the psychology of immortality inspired by People Unlimited.

Author Moss Jackson, Ph.D. first to apply success psychology to radical life extension.

Moss A. Jackson’s involvement with People Unlimited lead him to start thinking about the implications of radical life extension and human psychology. How does mortality influence our thought process? How does this need to change for us to radically extend life? This exploration turned into a new book called “I didn’t come to say goodbye! Navigating the Psychology of Immortality”.

Moss A. Jackson is a clinical psychologist and success coach who has been practicing in this field since 1972. He specializes in the areas of leadership and high team performance. In this new book, Moss writes of “Real life strategies for enhancing and extending real life”. He describes how many people in society still live in modes of “survival, anxiety and disconnection”. This exists while scientists and futurists are looking ahead to the “reality of radical life extension and physical immortality”.

He also analyzes the “psycho-neurological causes for our discontents and how we can rewire them for satisfaction and success not just for today, but for extended and even unlimited lifespans”.

Sleep optimization insights shared at people unlimited.

Dr. Kirk Parsley, leading authority on sleep optimization, presented on this subject at our June weekend event.

People Unlimited directors James Strole and Bernadeane were excited to have Dr. Kirk Parsley present at our June weekend event, Saturday June 18th 2016. Dr. Parsley is an expert in his field on health optimization and sleep.

Dr. Parsley, a former Navy Seal, became medical doctor with the Navy Seals, where he first began to study sleep and its importance. Parsley described how Navy Seals had numerous issues including memory loss, physical impairment and lowered sex drive, which all related to lack of sleep. Dr. Parsley explained that the Seals felt these issues were due to their age, and he had to convince them of the importance of sleep.

Dr. Parsley now works with clients to assist them in optimizing their sleep habits. He believes that many of our health problems and disorders in life are related to pool sleep habits. Dr. Parsley outlined a few tips on good sleep hygiene:

  • To fit with the natural circadian rhythms, bed time should be at 10pm
  • You should aim for at least 8 hours of sleep per night
  • You should have a dark and cool bedroom
  • Set up a sleep routine that is relaxing and calming and set an alarm for when to start this routine
  • Sleep is very important for learning, recuperating, detoxing and restoring
  • Don’t have electronic devices in the bedroom
  • Don’t put your sleep on the back burner or drop it due to a tight schedule

James Strole and Bernadeane, founders of People Unlimited have been speaking on the subject of Radical Life Extension and Physical Immortality for more than 50 years. People Unlimited have weekend events once a month, where special speakers like Dr. Kirk Parsley share insights about how to improve the quantity and quality of life.
